This week, DMMI (Destination Management and Marketing Institute) released their “How Social Is Your DMO” rankings for their annual conference, “The Total Experience.” All attending DMOs were ranked, and out of 72 attendees, two JB Inc. clients ranked among the top 20, including the Baton Rouge CVB at number 9 and the Panama City Beach CVB at number 16. Yesterday, Bing announced that they had struck a deal with Twitter and Facebook to make status updates searchable by the popular new engine. And true to the speed of the internet, the Twitter search function is now live on Bing, and can be tested here.

It’s official – the US has bombed the moon. Or that’s what the buzz on Twitter and Facebook would lead you to believe. Cue the Dr. Evil references and cheese jokes. Less dramatically, we crashed a probe into the moon in an attempt to determine whether water is present. But pop culture has its own take on the matter. With all this talk about Facebook’s new tagging feature using @ replies, many people are speculating that this could be the end of Twitter as we know it. But, I think that’s premature.
