For me, one of the most enjoyable parts of the Thanksgiving holiday (besides entering a food coma and watching lots of football) is writing out my yearly list of the things I’m thankful for. It’s always long and mushy, and it gives me the warm fuzzies to recite it on Thanksgiving, and remember all those reasons why life is so good.
This year, as usual, I have lots and lots to be thankful for. Family and friends I simple adore, an incredible job with the world’s coolest company, co-workers and clients, loads of great industry milestones and interactive developments on the horizon . . . all in all, it’s great. So, thanks universe.

It’s no secret that mobile device penetration among children is on the increase – we don’t need data to tell us that when iPhones decorated with Hannah Montana stickers and pink rhinestones are being wielded by 6-year-olds.
According to Nielsen data, the average age of phone ownership is pushing down – and quickly. In Q2 of 2008, the average age kids got their first mobile phone was 10.1 years, and in Q1 of 2009 that number dropped to 9.7 years. Undoubtedly it will continue to fall.

I am sure everyone heard or read last week about Microsoft’s Bing search deals with Twitter and Facebook. Google fired back almost immediately with their own deal – I am sure there were no surprises here. I’m a huge fan of Vanity URLs. What’s better than the ability to create your own, easy-to-find web address that can direct people to your personal or business social networking profiles? I mean, Twitter is a great example. It doesn’t get much easier than typing in Twitter.com/”your name here”.
