There are times in this life when you know exactly why you are here and what you were put on earth to do. This is one of those times for me, and I am forever grateful. I am here to intake and release. When I re-entered the industry under my own name, there was a lot to consider. I felt a little like a mosquito in a nudist camp. I knew what I ought to do, but I didn’t know where to begin.
As a newbie to the JB team … I am most thankful for my ability to “take a deep drink from a fire hose.” I’m so thankful for the opportunity JB Inc. has given me to intern and learn all about the world of Internet marketing. Not only have I learned social marketing, I’ve learn about all the behind-the-scenes hard work that goes into building a website. The JB team has blown me away by teaching me web tactics I never thought I was capable of!
One of the many things that I am thankful for this year is Google apps. Understanding the end needs of our organization, there were many software solutions that we wanted to implement that were just not possible on a smaller scale.
Google Apps gave us centrally hosted email, MS Exchange capabilities, Shared workspaces, chat and video integration. It gives us everything we need to collaborate quickly with documents, resources and information without the outrageous costs of support and maintenance.
With Thanksgiving being right around the corner I took some time out of my day to think about which aspects of the web I am most thankful for this year, and I would have to say “Thank You” to Facebook!
There is so much that I am thankful for this year. Without my family and friends, my holidays would not be celebrated with warm hugs, laughs, board games and discussions! A wonderful career! I have been given a great opportunity this year to work with a great team and to work with wonderful clients.
But let’s move a little further through the year to about the time that I discovered the Kindle!!
For me, one of the most enjoyable parts of the Thanksgiving holiday (besides entering a food coma and watching lots of football) is writing out my yearly list of the things I’m thankful for. It’s always long and mushy, and it gives me the warm fuzzies to recite it on Thanksgiving, and remember all those reasons why life is so good.
This year, as usual, I have lots and lots to be thankful for. Family and friends I simple adore, an incredible job with the world’s coolest company, co-workers and clients, loads of great industry milestones and interactive developments on the horizon . . . all in all, it’s great. So, thanks universe.

One of the hottest new trends lately is for corporations to sponsor free WiFi access for consumers, providing a nice service and touting their product at the same time.
Last night, a foray into making delicious, homemade cinnamon rolls ended instead in a broken fishbowl, a flooded kitchen floor, an empty stomach and a disgruntled fish. The true cause of said accident was a combination of my clumsiness and lack of proper preparation, but the whole dreadful incident (which ended in a painfully long stretch of kitchen clean-up) got me thinking.
