Twitter Users Not Tweeting?

In an interesting article released yesterday from CNN Reporter Julianne Pepitone, 73% of twitter users have tweeted less than 10 times. Is Twitter becoming more of a news feed than a place to conversate and engage with other tweeters?? Seems that way.

Late last year, we blogged about the different ways twitter users used the social network. The majority of users from that study showed that Twitter was looked at as a resource, not where users were looking for personal opinions. In fact, from that study, opinion based tweets were the least popular. Articles, useful links, deals, coupons and news were what Twitter users considered the most important.

With only 21% of Twitter users considered “True Users” by Barracuda Networks, how should marketers, businesses and personal brands plan and intend to use Twitter for brand growth? We want you to weigh in with comments!!
