Social Media – Pass it On
How valuable is the content you share on your social networking sites? It’s amazing how fast great content can travel and be shared. Even though it is becoming easier every day to share social media content, we also need to keep in mind that we still need to create content that people want to share. Which brings me to a wedding company I read about in an article. This company plans weddings and uses social media for advertising. The blog that the wedding company posted was “10 Things We Do On A Wedding Day”. Sounds great, sounds like many people will want to share these 10 things, but think about if YOU were planning your wedding. Is this information that you really want to know about, or are you more focused on how this company will do 10 things to make your wedding day perfect and memorable? See, when posting new social content, think about the audience you are targeting. In this case, do we really care about what this company is going to do during the wedding? So, to make you content more shareable, put yourself in you clients point of view. What is important to the client, the big idea that everyone wants to share. Make your content valuable!
