Let’s All Do The Wave!

It was hard to return and adjust to my daily work routine after a long, well relaxed Thanksgiving holiday. I came in, plugged in my laptop, and adjusted the items on my desk and opened up my email. I started to scroll through an extended list of messages, and there it was … sitting pretty in my inbox screaming “open me!” I opened the email from wave-noreply and immediately accepted my invitation to try Google Wave! It was like hot chocolate on a cold winter day or the extra toppings on my ice cream sundae – fabulous. My anticipation for the invite had been growing every day and it was finally time to play with Google’s new toy!

But, that time didn’t exactly come easily. Remember, I was still adjusting from the 4 day holiday! So I invited Hannah to join me in my adventure and try Google’s new program. I can’t speak for Ms. Hannah, but I absolutely love Google Wave. The messages and uploads are instant, you can easily create an event and add a “yes, no or maybe” tool for all your contacts to use for their response.

The only drawbacks are:

1. You have to invite more people to join Google Wave. The more the merrier!
2. I would like to see this added to my desktop. If this is something that can already be done, please send me your instructions on how to do this.
3. I don’t know how I can search for other Google Wave users. Can this be done?

But other than those three minor drawbacks, I have to say that I am going to be an avid user! I haven’t been able to use all the tools and functions, but if you would like to join me in my Google Wave adventure send me a shout out and I will be happy to send some invitations your way! I only have a few, so first come – first served!!
