Is Facebook Doing Away with “Become a Fan”?

An article released yesterday on ClickZ shares with us a confidential email that surfaced from Facebook to ad agencies alerting them to a change in the wording “Become a Fan” seen at the top of pages on Facebook. Word on the “online” street is that the word “Like” will take over the “Fan” language.

Part of the confidential e-mail read: “Over time, as users adapt to the language change, we recommend that you invite people to connect to your Page by saying ‘Find us on Facebook’ or ‘Like us on Facebook’. You may also choose to put more emphasis on your custom URL than you used to.” You can read the full article here.

We want to hear what you think about this change. “Like” it or not a big “Fan”? We want to hear your comments on our blog.
