Facebook’s Weekly Updates for Page Admins

Are you the administrator of one or more Facebook fan pages? Most marketers are, these days. And sometimes it can be difficult to keep track of ongoing page statistics, while also worrying about content, engagement with fans and all the other elements that go along with maintaining a kickass fan page!

Well, Facebook has made it a little easier for all of us by introducing a new weekly email, sent to admins, that outlines the basic statistics of each of your pages. The email tells you how many fans have been added this week; how many fans total, the number of wall posts, comments and likes for your page in the last week; and the number of visits to your page, this week and last. This data is included for each and every one of the pages you administrate.

I don’t know about you, but for me this is pretty handy! It gives me a great overview of how all of my prized pages are doing, which offers a swift kick in the butt if any aren’t growing the way I’d like. :)

Wondering how to receive these emails? Simple. Login to your Facebook account, click on account in the top right, then scroll to account settings. Next, click on notifications, then scroll down to the pages area, and make sure the box labeled “Weekly page updates for admins” is checked. Voila, you should be receiving these handy updates in your inbox in no time!
