Another Tourism Hit, Spirit Airlines Strike.

Spirit Airlines has cancelled all flights as pilots are officially on strike as of Saturday, claiming that their pay is not proportionate to that of their counterparts at other American airlines. This is yet another impact on travellers as well as destinations aside from the unprecidented oil spill in the gulf. Spirit serves about 16,000 passengers a day and is based in Miramar, FL. It’s the biggest carrier in Atlantic City, N.J., as well as Fort Lauderdale, FL.
