What I’m Thankful For – Olivia Rodriguez

With Thanksgiving being right around the corner I took some time out of my day to think about which aspects of the web I am most thankful for this year, and I would have to say “Thank You” to Facebook!

Other than my social media fix I get from being on Facebook every single day,  it has been a blessing to reconnect with long lost friends and family members once again, especially this time of year. It’s like taking a wonderful trip down memory lane, and in the same instance you get to share your lives together all over again!

I have reconnected with friends and even family members that I haven’t seen in years, and it has been fun to view their images and watch their videos, read their funny posts, and send each other silly virtual gifts.  It almost feels like I haven’t missed day of their lives!

I think of Facebook as a Web 2.0 time machine. In just a few clicks you can revisit an earlier part of your life and rebuild meaningful relationships. Once again “Thank You” Facebook, what I would do without you . . . who knows!!!
