New City…New Outlook

Moving is never an easy task. As someone who has picked up and moved more times than I can count, I can tell you that from personal experience. You have to learn how to get around in a new city, make new friends, find your new favorite restaurants . . . and so much more.

But moving serves a purpose. Besides the freshness of a new place, moving from city to city or state to state offers an entirely new perspective on things. When you establish yourself in a new destination, meet new people and explore the landscape, you gain experience that you can’t obtain any other way.

Living in vastly different places is an eye-opening experience, and one that I’ve found invaluable as a marketer. Having been immersed in the culture of a variety of places, I feel more astute at understanding and predicting the behavior and preferences of people all over the map. So, even though packing, aching muscles and moving vans are inconvenient, it’s all worth it in the end!
