According to a Mashable.com article today, Facebook has shut down their Facebook Deals.  This effort was initiated in an attempt to battle Groupon’s growing popularity.
Facebook has definitely proven that it has legs, although it will be interesting to see if the giant will be able to remain nimble enough to stay trendy.
